Hello. I am trying to solve the following problem by applying KCL and source transformation. I applied source transformation and converted it into 5/4 volt current source, then applied KCL and got ix=1/4Amp but the real answer is 3Amp. Can anyone please help me out with it? Thanks

 

But you you already know the current (4A).
So you don't need to do any source transformation.
Also kept in mind that 5V/4A = 1.25 Ohms
