Has Anyone in the US Made Recent AliExpress Purchases?

AliExpress caught my eye with several cheap items, about $20 - $30 total with free shipping.

Has anybody had recent experience with tariffs, customs and other upcharges with the rumored $80 minimum charge with the Deminomus exemption removal? I'm trying to guess what my cheap items may end up costing.

I know tariffs and charges may change depending on a whim, a negative remark, a bribe, an effort to cover up something, or a plain old temper tantrum. Changes maybe made with zero forethought, planning on the actual implementation or consideration of the consequences.

Info on any recent experiences will be appreciated!

I ordered in July and August; tariffs were supposed to be delayed for 90 days on 8/11. Free shipping and prices were still reasonable even though they stated that they included any tariff charges. Couldn't tell if the items actually shipped from China.

Been getting orders at least weekly as prices for the same items still cheaper buying direct from AliX instead of eBay or Amazon. Caveat Emptor as quality/shoddiness has not improved so you're still "buying a pig in a poke". Delivery speed has gotten better. Prices a bit up since they are increasing to cover tariffs which is included in price. All customs are prepaid so no surprise extra charges from customs. Yes, the so-call tariffs on china are being paid by the US consumers although it has negatively affected sales of goods from china. Also, there was a recent article in the news about the UPS's mega sorting facility in Kentucky being shut down by customs and over 35 Million USD goods impounded/seized from china due to copyright/counterfeit infringement.
