If the scope is functional it can be quite useful. AND, as others have already told you, you just need to get a set of actual scope probes to fully use the capabilities of the scope. In addition, if you are working with lower voltages and lower frequencies, on lower impedance circuits, you can get by with simple direct probe connections. Much less expensive, and more durable.
BUT you will need to get a book on how to use an oscilloscope .

It seems to work fine. I did buy the suggested probes and did a calibration. When I do work on something it will be under 20v. And yes will need to relearn what was forgotten. Youtube is very useful. Probably will not be using it that often.

An oscilloscope is certainly a valuable tool, but just like a hammer, it is not for everything. Use of a scope on higher voltages certainly demands extra effort and the results may not be as accurate. Finding the source of noise in a 300 volts DC power supply did require extra effort, but it was possible. And it provided an interesting education about how semiconductor rectifiers worked, at that time.
