I am thinking of picking up one of the cheap hand held scope's out there, ~$80.00 or so.
Any experiences?

I have been looking at this one, Max. It looks good, but... so hard to tell.I am looking at the Seeed Nano V3 which Digikey carry, a little more money than the ones shown so far, but reviews are fairly good.
Many of the ones I looked at had firmware update ability.Just be sure you do get the most up to date version, some of the products listed on Amazon by some sellers are a little out of date.
I'm sure they are all made in the same factory and labeled with whatever the middleman dealer wants on them for a brand name. They are USB charged and I'm sure that the port is also used for firmware upgrades.I am looking at the Seeed Nano V3
That looks like a version of the Seeed Nano V3 I am looking at on Digikey.I have a single channel scope from AES wave. It is a fantastic little handheld and comes with all kinds of goodies. You can buy a basic scope or a kit which allows you to do much more depending on what you want to do. Jorge and his team provide excellent support and the graphics and accuracy are unparalleled in a small scope. Amazon carries a 4 channel version but I havent had the opportunity to try it yet.
Looks good. Do let us know how it performs.I went ahead and sprang for the Seed Nano V3, just finding my way around it and the Chinese instructions.! °![]()
