I attach some pictures of olds hand grip pulse sensors that I took from an old treadmill. I don't know its working principle very well. The point is that I want to build a heart rate monitor using this sensors. How can it be done? I wanted to used a Raspberry Pi, so I think I would have to add some ADC modules since Pi doesn't have analog inputs. But before the ADC, I think I need some extra amplifier module to process the signal. First I would like to know the working principle of this hand grips. I mean, when I touch them (both of them? just one?) what kind of signal do I get? So then, how to process that signal. I was searching for some useful references on the web, but still can't find something easy to understand. I would appreciate your comments.
