half adder and full adder

i was asking for the practical application..i read its theory but i want to know where we can use it and where its using now a days
When might you want to add things? Those are all applications suitable for an adder.
ALUs, CRC calculations, and numerical offsets are all things that come to mind in a few seconds, but there are many, many more reasons for adders (not the snakes.... Though, I guess a half adder is good for half a belt, and a full adder is good for exercise
).
