Wondering if anyone has repaired the Hakko 472d from it's schematics.
Or if not;a way to run its pump and gun using another pcb?
Thanks for any information provided.

Not by schema.
But if you have the PCB, we can try.
What I meant if anyone has tried to hack in another pcb enough to run the 24 vdc motor ; doesn't have to have digital digital temp readout. Just analog temp control is fine. I'm using the 817 gun.
Thanks for the reply

Can you post a pic.
I think the pump is AC operated one.
I have 2 stations both control pcb's are out. Don't want to buy new boards since I just bought a new portable hakko desoldering gun. Just want to get these stations running.
Here the pump pic15909569041161385116314.jpg

Is this the same as yours ?
Nope, I have 472d

Hope you got the pic of my dc motor from 472d. I also mentioned the zd-985 as a better add on to the 472d. Let me know if you have idea on how to work the 817 or zd-985 useing another type pcb or is possible to work the pump and heat control from two seperate pcb's(one for the motor and another for the heater control simultaneously.

AAH !
It is a 24VDC one.
I do not replace iron pcb with others. Better option is to design one.
Running the pump would be easy.
The iron part is a little tricky.

First we need to figure out if the pump motor is running at full rpm.
Can you apply 24V to it and check if the suction is too much or OK. We also need to figure out the current drawn by the pump.
Can you do find them out ?

Iron is easy. My 817 will work with 472d or 473 pcb. So I will try 472d motor on the 473 pcb. Dc voltage is the same for solenoid or motor.
Will see when I get 473 pcb from ebay next week. Let you know. Thank You

No, the Hakko DC motor circuit is quite different than the AC triac drive.
More important is the temperature sensor is different and will not work. It's a bit of work.
