Hello, Im new to this forum. Im a retired electronics tech and there is never a day when there is something new to learn. I have a side job now fixing and upgrading electric guitars. This 1974 vintage Hagstrum Swede guitar came to me and I have a problem that I hope some of you can help me with. The guitar came in with the electronics and pick up electronics all disconnected. I found a schematic for it which would have been great but it turns out the "tone" switch is the wrong switch (it's a hagstrum original but not the one for this guitar) or I have the wrong schematic. The schematic shows the tone switch as a 7 lug 3 way toggle and the one in the guitar is a 6 lug 3 way toggle. As you can see the switch has 2 capacitors one 4700pf and one 0.015uf. The owner of the guitar want's to keep the 6 lug switch. Any advice on where to wire the caps on the 6 lug as opposed to a 7 lug switch.

Your schematic shows the input and output shorted together, so the switch will do nothing.
What exactly is the switch supposed to do?
