As @bertus notes, you'll likely have to adapt the signal voltage to the circuit, or vice versa. Do you know what the signal voltage range is?

 

I found the new improved version on Ebay for $82, so I thought that was pretty good price for this car seeing what they go for.
I don't think it is a good price when I see others which are mostly the same thing for $50 for GMC.
The new one looks to be repairable, not epoxied into a lump of plastic.

I installed it and it works.
So thanks anyway for the help.
