Pelican Blocks Plane From Takeoff at San Diego Airport
Did you notice how security tried to drive it into the starboard engine?Interesting ... a pelican with a cat's attitude ...
Hardly. Doesn't take very many speeding tickets before you get your license suspended, fine or no fine. The fine for speeding allows wealthy drivers to speed.
So what's your alternative? Get rid of all laws so that no one is a lawbreaker? The laws cause the perpetrators to do break the law again and again.
You've not been paying attention the last 3 or 4 years!Get rid of all laws so that no one is a lawbreaker?
Oh, I've been paying attention. I just happen to live in a place that hasn't gone off the deep end. Yet.You've not been paying attention the last 3 or 4 years!
We're trying to stop the deep end down the river from spreading. The Sheriff's Office still has a handle on the occasional madness imported from Weird City..Oh, I've been paying attention. I just happen to live in a place that hasn't gone off the deep end. Yet.
Maybe make fines commensurate with income.Hardly. Doesn't take very many speeding tickets before you get your license suspended, fine or no fine.

That's how it is in Finland, I think. I read an article a few years ago about a millionaire that paid dearly after he got pulled over for speeding.Maybe make fines commensurate with income.
Oh that's interesting i didnt know they did that already. That's the only way i think this should be done. That's how it is in Finland, I think. I read an article a few years ago about a millionaire that paid dearly after he got pulled over for speeding.
You'd think he would've designed a faster operating system.Bill Gates in is younger days have been known for being fined twice for speeding on the same day by the same cop.

It's okay. The Ferrari owner can afford another one.
Here is my take on these issues with these kinds of companies...You'd think he would've designed a faster operating system.
Luckily, I'm not forced to be a passenger. Here is my take on these issues with these kinds of companies...
1. It has been my guess for a long time now that they hire kids right out of college with little experience.
2. They fire them when they start to make too much money, then hire new ones that know very little about the ideas behind why the previous bunch changed what they did.
3. They dont use their own product because they know the shortcomings very well.
There is a lot of evidence for #2 if you look at the operating system starting from Windows 3.1 (years ago). They flip flopped on many ideas. First they do it one way, then change to another way, then go back to the first way, then change it again to something else later. They forget why they did it one way and not the other way, several times.
They also seem to forget that they should actually do some things the same way and not change at all. For example, it makes no sense to make the upper title bar of a window the same color as the rest of the window so the user cant tell where exactly to drag the window from (Win 11 maybe Win 10 too), and not allow that to be changed even though the registry. They even messed up the context menu making it much harder to add personal items to it via the registry.
The conclusion is that they just dont seem to have too much common sense. They must make changes without realizing how stupid some stuff is. Maybe they dont even try some things they change, just do the build and ship it out. Hopefully in the coming 'updates' it will improve.
Maybe we should start a new thread, "It's too bad i am forced to be a passenger", ha ha. I have too much software written for Windows would take years to switch.
