A passenger flight was forced to make an emergency landing in NYC this weekend after a woman mistook a fellow passenger’s vintage camera for a bomb. The suspected terrorist was pinned to the tarmac before authorities figured out he was a camera enthusiast.

A lot of people have the misconception that a train can stop on a dime. A train that short might be able to do it in a quarter mile or so. Longer and heavier trains take miles. I'm sure the engineer put on the brakes as soon as he saw it but he knew it was futile.

The guy trying to flag the train down was doing something completely useless.
