Getting 4 DOF T-HEX robot working

Hello everyone, I am working to trying to get a robot bought offline to work again after messing it up. I have solved bits and pieces and this is the stage where I am at now. There are three circuit boards operating the robot. A buck converter, a servo controller, and this circuit board https://www.robotshop.com/en/lynxmotion-botboarduino-robot-controller.html. I am getting concerned that the Bot Boarduino and the servo controller are not communicating with each other. Is there a way to test for that? Thank you and have a good day!

Welcome to AAC.

The right way to do that would be with a logic analyzer. It would watch the serial interface between the two and show you the traffic, and decode it for you.

Failing that, an oscilloscope would show you the data as a waveform (some scopes will decode as well).

You can buy a limited logic analyzer or very limited tiny scope for pretty cheap.
