I began repairing a Garmin Zumo 660 which took a crash after falling from a motorcycle at 150 Km/h. It was torn pretty bad; I replaced the digitizer, some connectors, all the case components but one item that I don't have any idea what it is. It can be seen in the picture below.

I was looking for a schematic yesterday but could not find one, my thoughts are possibly a capacitor or inductor, or maybe even a package containing both because it appears to be inline with the antenna, would like better pictures, or better yet a good schematic.

maybe take pictures of the whole unit with model number and fcc id etc...

 

Thank you for your answer. There is only the number "99" on the item; on one side the coating was wiped off when i tried to put it back on the board. It is like graphite powder ...

 

all my searches come up with nothing, sorry I cannot help you because I have never seen that before but being that it may be graphite, possibly try to take a resistance reading on it, other than that I am at a complete loss.
