Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have this commercial bug zapper, we use it for outdoor activitys. Works fine for a few minutes and then stops working except for the the lights. Transformer was replaced and also the red capacitor..

 

Looks like the light has it's own transformer , the dual white transformer in the centre with the Red capacitor is feeding the zapper,which could be the problem.

Yes the light has its own ballast. Also both the transformer and the red capacitor have been replaced. The grid is not shorted at all. Running out of ideas

 

You need a Dvm to measure any voltage levels in and out of the transformer.

I have one but unfortunately it doesn't go up to 5,000 volts. Any other ideas?
