Audioguru Joined Dec 20, 2007 11,248 Nov 27, 2012 #3 The datasheet for the LM386 little power amplifier explains how the capacitor increases the gain. The datasheet shows the simple schematic for the amplifier and you can see that it shorts an internal resistor that is part of negative feedback.
