Have you looked into the repair cafes popping up? https://repaircafe.org/en/about/ Might be good resources... If I was independently rich I would run one as non-for-profit.

 

Just search for the type of product, like VCR or DVD or TV, and then the word repair.

One can even specify model number and get many specialty sites, for that one unit.

 

Along with a couple audio forums, I use https://www.hifiengine.com/ as a primary source of schematics and service manuals. https://elektrotanya.com/keres is an alternate.

For guys into motorcycles... this one is pretty good... https://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp I believe they had to take down some due to copyright.
