Courier New does not seem to show up as such once posted.

 

This is a test (Google Chrome, MacBook Air, AAC Classic mode)

EDIT: You're right; it doesn't. At least not here; perhaps it renders properly on someone else's system, but on mine it just comes through in the same AAC font I see on most posts.

Second test—copied some Courier New text from MS Word and pasted here
