I'm doing an FMEA using MIL HDBK 217. I m looking at a MOSFET . The figure I'm getting is 10e-6 which seems very high, Looking at other FMEAs the FETS are 10e-9.
Using a small signal plastic model with an environment gm .
Anyone familiar with MIL HDBK 217 and if so what do your standard small signal FETS come out as?

 

Failure Mode Effects Analysis and failure probability are quite different. IN fact VERY different. The handbook covers the probability of failure, while the FMEA considers what happens when a part fails. And the effect of an FET failure effect will be quite different depending on fail open or fail short or some other fault, such as fail noisy.
