Trying to replace the LCD module on my Fluke 8020 DVM. "conductive" LCD no longer available so followed instructions on FB to replace with a soldier tab unit. After modifications and a tiring soldering session in connecting wires to the PC board, I finally completed the task. On powering the unit the segments a and b on the seven segment digit do not light up. Is it possible I fried the A/D convertor while soldering wires to the board. The chip was removable but I did not think to remove it.
