Anyone know why part of an LED strip would flicker? Here is the scenario: 12VDC LED strips, 60 LEDs/meter. To fit application, strips were cut (at cut marks) and connected together. Three sections. Section #1 no flicker. Section #2 (middle section) flickers; Section #3 no flicker. Why would only the middle section have the flickering problem?

 

1) You made a poor connection
2) the middle strip is damaged or defective.

 

That's what I thought originally, but why wouldn't section #3 also flicker, since it is connected to section #2? power supply to section #1, snap-on wire-to-board connectors going from section #1 to section #2, then section #2 to section #3. If poor connection, or even defective piece, wouldn't the problem exist on down the line?

 

Do all LED in # 2 flicker in unison ?
Have you ever seen # 2 not flicker, even when connected in first position ?
Maybe it was designed as a flicker strip.

 

Swap the flickering section for a non- flickering one, and see if it swaps?
