Hi

I am attaching a drawing for a flickering LED solar charged , I am wanting to change the supply voltage to 2.4v ( from 2 x 1.2v Ni-MH ) and using 2 x solar panels from the pound shop ( giving out 5.6v ! ) , driving a flickering LED 1.8v to 2.2v .

What would I have to change to obtain my result ! .

cheers

Possibly put a series charge resistor and diode to drop the excess voltage, and to charge the battery, or use 3.6V.
Hi

Thanks for your reply , If I use just one of the solar panels , what would I have to change , in the circuit ! .

Cheers

If the solar panels are 2.8 -3v, then just a diode to drop 0.7v will do to charge them up, ideally the solar panels need to give out 1.5 to 3v more than your nicads..
