Trying to find percentage of total kilowatt capacity that will be produced if voltage of 120 v is applied to a 240 v load. I came up with 25% I divided 240/120x100 came up with 24%

Q1) How does 240/120x100 come up to 24% (or 25%, whichever you might have meant)?

Q2) How does any of that relate to the total kilowatt capacity? Total kilowatt capacity of WHAT?

I think he wants to know how much power is dissipated in a particular load
rated at 240v & x watts,if he applies 120v.

I think he is right with x/4 watts or 25% of the rated power.

I don't know where "I divided 240/120x100 came up with 24%" comes from,though!:D
