I’m a beginner in digital IC physical design and I want to learn more about synthesis,sta, p&r. I’m looking for some opensoucre projects that I can practice on and improve my skills. where to find such projects? Are there any open source or online resources that I can use? What are some good examples of projects that cover different aspects of physical design?
I appreciate any help or advice.

 

If the meaning of Physical Design means the ability to build in Your PCB into glorious box, its always the weak point to any radioamateur. Once I knew one grinding machine operator whose hearth was prone to radioamateurism. He yet never did anything over the audio, but all the boxes was in "military style" - each resistor have separate grinded curvature n grinded box wall. Thats an exclusion of law. General low - buy the readymade box and fit in. If not - bend the steelplate and screw in. Or crate (never had understood why those crates are so condemning expensive). So, once some 50 years ago I bought the russian book "the basics for mechanical engineering in electronics designers deals" - but it was absolutely impractical. So... I dont know ANY good book for the case, except, keep eyes widely opened and learn from other engineer wins and looses, how they do the things.
