Find the factor of an equation?

(x)^3 -12(x) -16=0---(1)

X(x^2 -12-16/x) = 0

I don’t know how to get:

(x-4) (x^2 + 4x +4) =0

From (1)

Some body please guide me.

Complete the square by factoring out x in first 2 terms ? Then
completing the square.

x^3-12x -16=0
x(x^2-12) -16=0
x[(x^2) -2(x)(6) +36] -16 = 36
x(x-6)^2= 36+16
x(x-6)^2=52

I got the above after completing the square. But its different. Please guide me.
