Anyone interested in doing either of these simple experiments?

Take an ungrounded Faraday cage. How well does it attenuate a signal if you "ground" it to either terminal of a battery(where the other terminal is not connected to anything)? (test both terminals)
What if you connect the chassis of the transmitter to one terminal and the cage to another terminal?

Does "grounding" the antenna of a receiver to one terminal of a battery improve reception?

Hell, no.

Do these experiments yourself to discover why no one with any knowledge of electronics would be interested in doing them.

If it was 150 years ago maybe but not today.
What's your theory of what will happen?

Why would "grounding" to one terminal of a floating battery do anything except add more surface area external to the hopefully EM sealed Faraday cage?
