That would be at the top of my list as a dying wish. Ice cream ! :D

Ok getting picky gelato but the real stuff. Not the junk you get in cartons at the grocery store.

Real gelato is served from a pan and NEVER crammed into a container. It should really never be eaten in a cone though I will eat it like that. Putting it into a container or cone removes the air from the gelato. This spoils the texture. And real gelato is served with a spatula and not a scoop for the same reason.

A local supermarket had the real here for a while. It was pretty good but no where near the little gelaterias in Italy.

Captain Damir Yusupov and co-pilot Georgy Murzin Russia’s highest state award - the Hero of Russia.

Russia’s natural resources watchdog said late on Thursday it had identified an illegal rubbish dump roughly two kilometers from Zhukovsky International, which is southeast of Moscow, as being the possible home of the birds which caused the emergency landing.

Although technically a nice creation, an unfortunate side effect is the inevitable population increase as a result, unfortunately the world is already feeling the effects of overpopulation, e.g. forest clearing by fire in the Amazon.
I know population control is always a hot potato, as the previous attempt at this by China showed.
Fortunately I won't be around to see the end result if/when nothing is done.

True ... but then again, population (self) control is closely related to education, which in turn is linked to the basic necessities of life ... If one wants to break the vicious cycle of poverty, one must first educate the population, which is closely related to improvements in its quality of life.

That maybe true, but what do you do about the sections of present societies that are against and deprive education for a section of their population?

I truly don't have a concrete and definitive answer to that. But then again, what else is there to be done? Accept things as they are? ... I think not. I think extreme poverty should be always fought, but it's only through self persuasion that a society really changes. History is littered with examples of what happens when a system of beliefs is imposed on a culture through violence... it never ends well.
