Hello,

I would like to use EDAC INC A70-112-331N126 ethernet RJ45 connector in the custom PCB design. There are four pins which I am not sure how to connect them.

What is the purpose of pins VC1 to VC4 ? I am not using or considering POE option. How should I connect the pins VC1 to VC4 pins ? or should I leave them un-connected ?

 

Only the orange and green pairs are used (unless you are using gigabit). It makes me wonder just how much copper is lying unused in offices around the world!
