I'm trying to design my own ESR meter.

What is the ohmic range of standard ESR meters?

And when calibrating it, can I use precise resistors instead of capacitors?

Mine is 0-30 ohms and calibrates with a 10 ohm resistor and shorted probes.

Needs to go down to .01
