Hey all, so I'm quite an amateur when it comes to electronics and I've been wondering, if someone could explain me, lets say ESP32-CAM says it requires 5V to operate. Yet it doesn't specificy how much mA it needs to draw to operate? How can I in such cases know how much mA it requires?

I have solar panel that providers 12V, yet only 50mA, which seems not to be enough to power the device.

Any suggestions/explanation would be appreciated, thanks!

I run one of these little cameras on my big 3D printer. It does run hot, so make sure it has good ventilation. They have a quite good picture.
The solar panel is not big enough to run it all the time. You could charge a battery and run the camera for a while but a better idea is a bigger panel and still have a charge controller and battery.
