I have designed circuit with EOLR, but i want to design a circuit to detect any fault in the EOLR. What can i use for that purpose?

Loved the following statement in the article:

Removing and replacing all the resistors (especially from recessed contacts) in a system has been shown to cause considerable loss of hair, sleeplessness, and outbursts of foul language.

My circuit is working properly as given in the article.
But i want circuit which will detect if there is any fault/breakage in the circuit. If there is any fault in the circuit it should indicate or trigger.
can you suggest what can be used for that purpose?

 

The end-of-line resistor is there to result in a small current that always flows. You just need a circuit that senses that current and triggers if that current is missing.
