I think he is well on the way, but that might be wishful thinking.I think the jury is still out on EM's ability to kill the golden goose that used to lay golden eggs.
It may be a positive and may be a negative. Twitter is a large garbage pit but, if it goes belly up at some point, dozens of cesspools that replace it could be much worse.I think he is well on the way, but that might be wishful thinking.
What about "Allaboutcircuits.com"?I think paying a small Fee to be able to post is a great idea,
You mean allaboutcircuits.com, a social media site?What about "Allaboutcircuits.com"?
I think they should pay us $8 for each helpful reply. What about "Allaboutcircuits.com"?
What is wrong with that? Musk is simply leveraging capitalization of certain Twitter features. In this case, the one that verifies that you are who you say you are. For most people, the blue check is superfluous. Their followers know who they are. But most companies want to have some sort of "official" status. That is fine. $8 please...The blue dot is supposed to show a verified account. Musk just fired 50% of Twitter staff and then announced a very labor intensive service - verifying accounts and a billing process - where he would have to cut of users like Taylor Swift, Rhiannon, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Ronaldo, and Narendra Modi if they didn't pay $8/month. These "followed users" create much more content, and cause viewers to look at Twitter and, therefore, look at Ads. These Blue Dots are the golden goose of Twitter and Twitter should pay the BlueDots to post rather than charge them to be blue dots.
elon musk may be a visionary but clearly has been pulling the trigger before aiming recently.
Just because someone has the power to make a golden goose paying to lay a golden egg, doesn't mean it would be good for his company. All those advertisers and celebrities, politicians and business leaders can simply elect to stop posting on Twitter and move to Instagram (like many already have). Without all those heavily followed blue dots posting, who on earth would bothering opening up their Twitter app if nobody important was posting. The only thing my grandchildren would see on their Twitter feed would be their cousin posting to his seven followers that he was eating a corn pizza in Germany. Not much of a draw for advertisers. What is wrong with that? Musk is simply leveraging capitalization of certain Twitter features. In this case, the one that verifies that you are who you say you are. Do you really think companies will really be so willing to lose their Twitter presence, over eight measly dollars? It's a HUGE platform. That would be, like, one of the worst marketing decisions (if not THE most) that your company could possibly make.Just because someone has the power to make a golden goose paying to lay a golden egg, doesn't mean it would be good for his company. You are forgetting that Musk has AI (aside from some "other" very-reliable verification methods) at his disposal. Plus teams of developers to tackle the problem. It is safe to say that one can, with a fair amount of confidence anyway, "trust the blue dot".And, Musk will also play the inverse challenge, how will he truly verify that that someone paying for a Dodge Blue dot is truly the Mopar powered vehicle we all know if he doesn't have the staff to actually verify a Dodge by any other name sounds so sweet?
Bit, I am just hypothesizing - I don't want him to listen to my advice, I am simply watching the slow-motion car accident happen. The only thing that disappoints me is that Twitter is no longer publicly traded and I cannot short the stock as it goes down the drain.
