I have a question about this electronic HV mole repellent:
I made an NE555 oscillator which drives a FET and the FET drives a car HV ignition coil.
I stabbed into the ground the HV output and another electrode which is the minus from the car battery too.
The distance between the two electrodes are around 4m.

The mole was still there and made mess in the garden even the HV pulsed into the ground.
I checked the HV output with a car spark and the output works fine.

What did I mess up?

 

If everything is working, I would suggest target acquisition and fire control(probe placement).

You might try firing a solenoid at 20Hz or so to cause a scratching/thumping noise. No need for the coil, just use the 12v battery.

 

It worked on Dune.
