Electric gearmotor's choice

Hello guys,

I'm looking for an advice about the choice of an electric gearmotor. In particular the application needs an output constant torque of 60-80 Nm with a speed about 2 rad/s. My problem is the space; what do you think that could be the minimum dimensions for an actuator with these characteristics?

Thank you very much for your help

Generally the most compact gear reduction is planetary G.B.
But you most likely would also need some kind of motor rpm reduction for that low speed, the alternative is to look at a stepper motor, 1.8°/step.
Although 60-80Nm would also exceed any stepper rating without reduction.
Max.

For comparison on size look at Leeson Model M1125220, 61 RPM, 12V DC, 10.4A, 1/8 HP, 113 in.lb., 8.75 in. X 4 in., X 5.2 in. only $ 233.65. Surplus Center, NE , USA.

What do you guys think about Maxon Motor producer? I found some interesting gearmotor DC brushed and brushless. The limit is the gearbox for which the maximum torque is 50 Nm
