Display began failing to sync on powerup.
Eventually failing. On teardown, I Found a wear spot on the ribbon cable


of the 5.6" TM056KDH02 LCD. Applied electrical tape to the steel which rubbed on the cable and for $32 it came back to life!

I am having the same problem. Did you actually have to buy a new ribbon cable?

Purchased a new display. They come with a new ribbon cable.

Oh ok, thanks. I took my unit apart, put foam pieces around the cable, which looked sound, put it back together and it started working again. Can't be sure it's permanent though.
