I want to add a balanced DI out (direct injection out, balanced out) to my bass guitar combo. It has a unbalanced line out already. I intent to use a BurrBrown / Texas Instruments DRV134 as a line driver to get balanced out.
As most PA mixer consoles I have worked with have global switchable 48V phantom power on XLR connector inputs, do I need to protect line driver from 48V phantom power? Whats best way to do it?
