Hi!

I am working on a school project where I am going to attempt making an effect pedal for my guitar.
However, I am confused on the how to connect the DPDT footswitch with my monojacks.
The blueprint I follow shows this

I do have this exact DPDT footswitch
Here is the Datasheet
https://www.mouser.com/catalog/specsheets/TW-700025.pdf
https://lovemyswitches.com/dpdt-latched-foot-switch-low-profile-solder-lugs/

If the left side pins are pin 1,2,3(as the figure shows) and the right side are 4,5,6, where 2 and 5 are the two poles, then how am i supposed to connect this together? When I see the bypass connection between the two SDPTs(which makes the DPDT), my guess is to connect 3 and 6 together. But I have seen some people do crossing(4 and 6), so that the two diagonally pins are connected together, not the two above eachother.

Does anyone know how I am supposed to do this? I am kind of confused on the pins, and their function..

Thanks for your help! :)

The middle lugs of the switch are the common. The connections
that go to the jack leaf spring, for lack of better words, in your schematic.

Note its a push button, one URL you posted says its latched, the other does not.
So I wonder if you have to keep your foot on it to keep one of the two jacks active ?
Or do yo9u have the latched version....?

Regards, Dana.
