I was thinking of having a go with a TMS320F2000.
The obvious choice of development software would be TI's CCStudio. Is it any good?
How do you program the device on your pcb? Is there a little USB gadget like Renesas's E2Lite?

I'm already well ARMed, having worked on NXP LPC15 and Renesas RA4M1.
I'd been aware of the TMS320 since it arrived on the scene whilst I was at university, and I happened upon the latest generation while searching Mouser, and was surprised how cheap it was.
