Does anyone know the name of these plastic bolt type things holding the pcb board to the housing in the corner here and is there a way to remove them and then reattach them. I want to get at the pcb board and modify it and then reattach it so that everything can work as it did before. Thank you for any help you can offer.IMG_1277.jpg

They are some type of “standoff”, but seem to be a permanent type where they melt the top of the plastic to hold the board. You can buy threaded nylon standoffs of various sizes, if you can mount them via a hole in the back panel.

The PCB was mounted on to the plastic post and the top of the post was deformed by heat. This is a one-time installation. You cannot remove the PCB without destroying the post.

However, you can remove the post and install a new plastic or metal post. They go by different names.

threaded inserts
rivet nuts
rivet fasteners
push rivets
