Hey everyone:

I have tons of electronic components need to be sorted out. Does anyone have any recommendation for components organizer? How do you manage your components?
I've found several products online, But I just want to know your solution for your mass of components.

the first one is Bin storage cabinet.

The second one is a youtube video I saw on youtube

Please advice.

Thanks in advance.

btw, in the video posted in opening post, when you receive components such as resistors and diodes that came off of reels, i.e. with sticky tape on the leads, you want to remove the sticky tape (masking tape) immediately. The tape will leave a gummy residue on the leads and you don't want to plug those into your solderless breadboards. If you leave the tape on for too long the gummy residue will dry up and you will have to cut off that portion of the leads.

Thanks for your reply. I am gonna check those threads as well. But how do you quickly locate the components you need with these vinyl pockets?

I have multiple notebooks. One for passive components. One for transistors, regulators etc. One for chips. One for connectors. It is not hard.

Hi
after you placed the components in a organizer, make a microsoft excel sheets for each bin.
This excel sheets can help you record and locate each particular bin and what components inside,
depends on your data .

The third one is a new launched project I find on kickstarter. This one looks cool as well. But volume only fit for medium size components storage.

Dang. The same two systems I use. The large plastic boxes fit nicely into a file cabinet drawer.
Please advice.

Thanks in advance.
