I'm trying to repair a drone controller that works perfectly other than the fact that it will not charge. There is a component that is mounted center way directly behind usb-c solder pads that is getting hot to the touch when attempting to charge. It is what I believe to be a transistor, very small (2mm x 2mm) with 3 surface mount pads. I know that this is a PD3 circuit and what I would like to know if possible is the specs for a transistor in this position.IMG_0359.jpeg

hi aper,
Welcome to AAC.
It could be a transistor or a voltage regulator, is that a micro USB connector on the right-hand side of the burnt out component?
Do you have a manufacturer's name and product type for the controller?
