One of the most renowned blues guitarists, maybe. But not the best blues guitarists. And definitely not the best guitarist.

Clapton admitted Robert Johnson was a better guitarist than he was.
You really can't compete with someone who sold their Soul to the Devil:rolleyes:

Quote from "Jude Talbot" this youtube on the song SRV does, I wanted to know if he was using any Triads or modified thereof

Traids and 7th's Quote from "Openmusictheory.com"

If anyone understands music theory help me out.

Edit: I did some Googling and found many instances of the uses of Triads.
@killivolt

I'm a little late, but I think I understand triads...thanks to St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast :)

...and talk about impact...I wonder if Frank ever had any idea that decades later, 13-year olds would have to learn his music in school - heh.

Had not seen/heard this before. Buddy Guy is playing at a club and is joined by Hendrix - 1968. Terrible video and sound, but I am sure glad that someone made the film and I get to see/hear it!

I don't think this has been posted here. Johnson's Sweet Home Chicago - those old men sound pretty darn good. Not sure who the "kid" is (solos at ~3:25).

Edited: As the next post notes, that video was already been posted, way back in #2, so , here is a replacement - a midi transcription.

I'd say the first is blues rock, and the next two (or one, rather) R&B.

Not exactly keeping with the theme of this thread, which is blues -- unless you can tie them in somehow.

You might think of your blues anyway you want. Blues is soul..... To me that means anything you place in your heart.
Jimmy Hendricks is the same Did you object to that?
Or is it just me ?
R&B = Rhythm & "BLUES"
