Dimmable capacitive touch

Hi,

Could someone please point me in the right direction.

I'm trying to make a capacitive touch lamp, that you simply move your finger up/down to change the brightness of the led's.
I first looked into using an arduino and taught myself the very basics. I thought because of the coding involved I could make it do what I was after, not so sure now.

Is there a module out there that would be more ideal?

Welcome to AAC!

To do that, you're going to need something like a touch screen. I have a commercial touch dim fixture and it changes brightness based on how long the lamp is touched.

The simplest solution would be to use two touch sensors. One for up and one for down. The brightness would change depending on how long the sensor is touched.

An alternative would be a single sensor with the brightness increasing in steps in a repetitive loop each time the sensor is touched
