Differential/Subtractor Op amp not working?

Hi everyone!

I have a question on differential/subtractor op amps.

So imagine a 2V AC signal with a +1V DC offset.
I want to subtract that 1V so that the AC signal is centered around 0V.
To achieve this, I want to use an op amp as a subtractor.

I read this article: https://www.electronics-tutorial.net/analog-integrated-circuits/subtractordifference-amplifier/

And attempted to follow it exactly.
The circuit I have is this:

I expect is an 2V ac wave centered at 0V oscillating between +1V and -0V as a half rectified wave since the op amp is single supply.

What I get instead is a 0V DC out.

What did I do wrong?

Small update, I forgot to include the 5V supply to the op amp.

Okay, stil it doesn't work.
I tried a 3V ac signal with a +1V offset, and tried subtracting that offset, I still get 0, how come?
