Hello all,

I have a datalogger with software included, all inputs in single ended mode.I need a channel in differential input mode.
Could you help me to build defferential input ADC from single ended input?
Thank you.

Hi,

Have you got the manual for the datalogger? If so, see if two inputs can be set up for a differential input. If the A to D in the device is single-ended only, then you're out of luck. Reengineering the internals of the datalogger is more trouble than it's worth.

One possibility is to do the differential to single-ended conversion outside of the datalogger. Use an instrumentation amplifier to make the conversion so the datalogger sees the correct voltage.

Hi beenthere,

The ADC in single ended mode only. One of the reasons I use differential input is to separate the ground input.
