Difference between gro(u)nd,earth and neutral
plz clarify
Problem: Ground is often used interchangeably with Earth instead of common, when one side of a supply is not necessarily at earth ground.

As shown, the Earth ground symbol is frequently used to indicate any form of power common, which can lead to misleading communication.

Neutral usually refers to the Earth Grounded conductor of an AC supply, one exception is the star (Neutral) point of a 3ph transformer this may, or not be referenced to Earth Ground, but still labeled Neutral.

Three cheers for what metalmann posted. I tend to enjoy grounding problems because I have to dedicate all of my mind to solve them.

Although useful, it relates more to the EMI condition rather than the OP's reference to the difference between Ground, Earth and Neutral which tends to be more safety related.
