Hi,
Lately, I was doing a little research on designing a GPS antenna on a PCB.
Just like with 2.4 GHz Wifi and BT antennas, I was thinking that I would find at least few reasonable app notes from tech giants including formulas, templates, layout examples etc...
But all I find is either GPS modules or GPS antennas that are already manufactured and out for sale...
What if I want to design a GPS antenna directly embedded into my PCB? Internet is full of online PCB patch antenna calculators and I have all the data for it (50 ohms, RHCP, 1575 MHz, FR4...). Would an antenna designed in such way work? Or is there a serious reason why any 1575 MHZ antenna wouldnt work and you cant find design notes just like that
