delay timer and relay that is continuos

what relay timer can be used to move a motor at 60 degrees and delay it for 3 secs before anothe cycle of rotation
i;; need a suitable motor for this function
 
60 degrees of shaft turn or 60 degrees of something else?

If you were rotating a disc, there are two EASY options:

1. One is a sensor at every 60 degrees that would shut of the motor. You bump the sensor for every move.
2. An AC synchronous motor and just use timing.

It also makes a big difference if your shaft is moving at 40K RPM or 1 RPM. yep, worked on 40K RPM stuff.

to move a disk or rotate it at 60degree and it stops for secs before the next cycle.
the disk is hexagonal in shape, a side is 60degree

Again. How fast do you need this to turn? How heavy is this disk?

Is the disk connected directly to the shaft?

Should the disk speed up and slow down gently, or can it be slammed into motion and to a stop?

How accurately does the 60° rotation need to be? Both in terms of a single move and also over time.

What kind of sensors, if any, do you have in place to detect the position and/or motion of the disk?

Give us a hint. Is the disc the size of a penny? The size of a dinner plate? The size of a UFO?

We know it needs to pause for 3 seconds in between moves, but how long should the move take? Can it take 3 seconds to swing from one rest position to the next? Does it need to get there in a fraction of a second? Should it slowly glide between positions over the course of three minutes?

And yes, accuracy of position. Does each stop point need to be within specific tolerances? 5 degrees, 10 degrees, 30 degrees? Nothing is perfect. How much position error is acceptable?
