Hello! Is there any way for med to find a replacement SMD cap without knowing it's value? There is no service manueal or anything.. C129 & C130. Thanks

 

Clean it, take pictures of both sides along with making of key components... you may not have actual schematics but datasheets could provide vital clues.

Yes it seems to be under the two grey film caps. Board is from a Bluesound Powernode 2. Added a pic from top side.

 

We need the information on the two film caps. Voltage and capacitance and part number.
Can you tell if the ceramic capacitors are parallel with the film caps. Probably are. (ohm meter test)

 

If you were to reverse engineer the circuit connected to the capacitors, we should be able to suggest replacements.

 

Thanks for all your feedback. I Will have a check tomorrow and clean the board and upload new pictures and all info i can find about the two film caps.

I have pulled both film caps and attached images. They both read 280nf. The SMD Caps were like powder.

 

The component in the first photo is not SMD. What does this have to do with C129 and C130?

 

Sorry i'm amature. They seem to be connected to C129 and C130. Sorry i thought this was the info that was need as to post #5?

 

0,33uf 275V should be correct? Reading 0,28uf

 

0,28 μF is ok. That is within 20% tolerance.

For C129 and C130, 100 nF and 10 μF would probably work ok.

 

@MrChips Thank alot i really appreciate your time. Just to clearify do you mean eather two 100nf OR two 10uf? Or one 100nf and one 10uf? Thanks

What were the colours of the bad capacitors, if possible to see?

 

Yes they seem to be in parallell. And the colour of them were yellow/brown ish (1206). I think they where same colour as C116 in top left in attached picture.

 

Will 50v do the job? =)
