Only if you keep it floored all the time. A 2hp motor can still run efficiently at 1/2hp. That's what the motor controller is for.The greater the watts, the faster the battery is drained.

That is a nice powerful motor, but it is a brushed, not brushless. The controller you selected has hall sensor inputs, which this motor doesn't have. You'd need a PM controller to match this motor.This was the motor I was wanting to match with the controller I posted earlier and the battery pack as we talked about. But I was trying to find an alternative options from used electronics and such for this.
