Hello,
I am driving a 6 Wire Stepper motor. The problem is that during running they consume heavy current, if i use low current stepper motor then I am not able to get the required torque.
Kindly guide me what should i do?
Regards
It is not uncommon for stepper motors to get quite warm. You don't need to worry about this, it is quite common and they are built for it. If you are worried about it you can mount the motor inside a block of aluminum with a large surface area and lots of fins. If that is not enough you can blow cold air over the fins and move the heat away from the motor.
